The Dhammanjali Meditation Centre provides guidance for people who seek harmony in their lives. We promote kindness and compassion towards one another, as well as respect for the lives of all sentient beings. The principle of empathy demonstrates the art of harmonious living and the way to end the continuity of suffering. When the truth or the dhamma is examined in an introspective manner (visesena), it allows one to see (passana) into the true nature of things.  Meditation on the dhamma is called vipassana. In keeping with this practice, the Dhammanjali Meditation Centre was founded to bring spiritual awakening to all of humanity.

Since the pandemic began, so much has changed during the past few years. Many of us feel stuck in life not knowing what will be and therefore we experience anxiety and fear.  Facing reality and moving forward with life seems daunting.  However, let us be reminded of this golden advice from the Buddha:
Utthānavato sātimāto; sucikāmmāssa nisammakārino. Sāññyātassa cā dhāmmājivino; āppāmattassa yasobhivddhati.
(Translation)
Suppose an individual is energetic and mindful, does the right things with great care, abides according to the Law of Nature and is vigilant; indeed, that person's wellbeing constantly evolves for the better.
 
It suggests that it is essential to be optimistic as change occurs, let our lives today become more conscious in our actions this coming year. Despite the challenges that many of us are going through, let us help one another see reality optimistically from a different angle. That being said, we encourage you to take this opportunity to think of your relatives, friends and neighbours. Demonstrate the spirit of kindness and generosity and the quality of compassion that will help overcome their hardships. Take time to create within each of you a sense of wellbeing and send it to all beings. Whatever you do in the spirit of love and compassion will come back to you in due time.
